Staying on Track in January and Beyond!

How has the first week of 2025 been?!
Do you feel like you have started strong?
The beginning of 2025 has brought lots of new faces to both in-person and online classes– letting me know that not only I, but many others, have high hopes for a year of good health, improved well-being, new skills, and more!
But often quietly lurking beneath all ambitious New Year's resolutions is a bit of self-doubt: I’ve set my intention for the year… but will I actually be able to follow through?!
Check out some of my tips to keep moving towards your goals in 2025!
Keep it in Sight: With how many directions we get pulled in each day, it’s super easy to slip into old habits simply because they aren’t at the top of our minds. Visual reminders like bulletin boards, lists on the fridge, notes on mirrors, journal entries, or calendar notifications on the phone can keep your goal at the forefront of your mind and help you record progress! I know the new bulletin board I hung recently has been getting a lot of use in 2025 so far!
Find Your Support System: Seek out supportive people who encourage your goals. For example, you can try bringing a friend to Zumba class for extra fun and accountability! Feel like those who know you already often derail your progress? Go find your crew! Going to in-person classes or events is a great way to meet like-minded people who may turn into a new support network.
Celebrate Your Wins: Big goals usually require a ton of time and effort when looked at as a whole. Sounds overwhelming? That’s why it’s necessary to acknowledge and celebrate your successes, no matter how small, along the way. Show yourself love and respect for all those little steps that are needed to reach that larger vision for yourself.
Plan for the Unexpected: Things will rarely 100% go according to plan in life, so don’t expect your resolutions to either! Be prepared that there will be times when motivation is low, when your schedule is disrupted, or when you fall off track. When that happens, rather than being so deflated that you give up, you can practice some compassion towards yourself, make adjustments (ex. walk for 10 minutes if you miss Zumba class, read just 1 page of a book, etc.), and get back to your plan as soon as possible.
I want to help you have an attainable and sustainable fitness journey for 2025! That’s why I'm offering a special promotion this January: Bring a friend to any of my in-person Zumba classes for FREE!
And for those who prefer the flexibility of online classes, my new All-Access Zumba Package is better than ever now that it includes all 54 of my online classes at your fingertips.
You can choose the perfect workout whenever and wherever it suits you!
Cheers to us all moving towards our goals all January and throughout all of 2025!
Keep moving!
xx,
Katie
