Lovely Day 美好的一天

“Just one look at you and I know it's gonna be…”

While we are still mostly heading to work in Taiwan, one of the things I see repeatedly online from people on lockdown all over the world is the feeling that all days are starting to blend into each other. Without going out and having normal routines to mark time, it’s hard to tell Monday from Wednesday from

Saturday.

Meanwhile, many people are sharing photos of creative ways they are keeping busy with their loved ones at home and screenshots of video calls connecting with people in spite of the distance. People are finding ways to give and receive support, find comfort and joy in one another, and make the best of a tough situation.

A friend from the US put in a request for the song “Lovely Day” for this week’s video. With the recent passing of Bill Withers, and in celebration of his life and one of his songs we can probably relate to most right now, I made an easy, happy routine for you to do at home.

“ When the day that lies in front of me seems impossible to face .. just one look at you and I know it’s gonna be a lovely day.”

I hope that while the days might be running together or we might feel the anxiety of waiting for this time to pass, you and your loved ones can find moments of connection, peace, and maybe even a happy dance.

在台灣大部分的我們仍然繼續出門上班的同時，我最近不停地在網路上看到，隔離中的全世界有著同樣的感受------覺得每天似乎都混在一起了。少了出門以及日常習慣來標記時間，真的很難分辨出周一、周三或周六有什麼不同。

此時，許多人分享他們和家人待在家、讓自己繼續忙碌的創意照片，或是和朋友家人視訊的螢幕截圖。大家繼續找不同的方式給予支持或接受支持、在彼此身上找到喜樂與慰藉、在這個困難時期繼續盡力地全心生活。

一位美國的朋友點播『Lovely Day』這首歌，這首歌不但是當下讓我們非常感同身受的一首歌，隨著美國靈魂樂大師比爾威德斯 (Bill Withers) 最近辭世的消息，我也想藉這機會來慶祝他的一生。因此，我編了一首簡單、開心的舞、讓你可以在家一起跳。

『眼前的今天似乎難以面對...... 但只要看你一眼，我就知道這將會是美好的一天。』

在日子漸漸混在一起、焦慮地等待困難時期過去的這個階段，我希望你和家人能有交流、平靜、甚至開心跳舞的時刻。
