Moving from the mundane to the magical

What sets the mundane apart from the magical?
Is it mostly a matter of perspective?
Just the other week, I got lucky enough to play tour guide during my cousin's visit to Taipei! It had been a while since I’d seen the city with fresh eyes – soaking up a golden sunset at Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, sipping tea with breathtaking views in Maokong, and searching out the freshest tropical fruits and tastiest local treats. It was a reminder of all the little wonders that are so close by, and yet so easy to overlook in my daily routine.
How often do we all get caught up in the hustle and miss the magic around us?With spring on the horizon, it feels like the perfect time to pause and appreciate things anew – to turn those “tourist eyes” towards our own lives.
In doing so, what might come into view? The perfect path for an evening stroll in our own neighborhood? Fresh, local fruits and veggies we have yet to try? Intense appreciation for the comforts we already have?
Opportunities for wonder and gratitude may be right there waiting for us in our very own backyards, in our seemingly mundane schedules, and even on the dance floor. After all, you know me, movement is one of my favorite ways to remember the magic of being alive and celebrate the gift of health each day.
This spring, let’s embrace seeing our lives with a fresh set of eyes – focusing on the things that bring the most meaning and vibrancy to our days.
And if that means adding more dance to your life, you know I’ve got you! April’s All-Access Zumba package is ready to help you dance all month long online, anywhere, anytime. And in-person classes will keep us sweating and smiling together in Taipei. See you there!
Keep moving!
xx,
Katie
